It's been a privilege to work with Ryan. We had a quirky search, fairly extreme fixers in varied but specific neighborhoods throughout the Bay Area. We also considered alternative financing and even modular construction. All this to say, a lot to deal with and far from the norm when buying a house. From the jump, Ryan was not only on board but internalized what we wanted and tuned his work to that. He's extremely responsive and has sharp thoughts on tactics and strategy. One of the biggest benefits was having him on our team during a bid process in what is a highly competitive market, working against millionaires serving up all-cash offers. He helped us get extremely close to winning a 10-bid offer and basically got us over the line in only our second offer, through quick relationship-building and solid strategy. However, there's one thing that is the most fun in working with Ryan. As some have mentioned, he's a trained architect, which lets him see things that others don't. But it's more that he's got an excited curiosity about what a place can be, that is fun to be around, and highly valuable when looking for value. It's a treat to watch his mind work in a house, considering the architectural potential, costs, and permitting challenges. We don't expect to need an agent again any time soon, but if we do, we'll be back.

When my fiance and I stumbled upon the apartment of our dreams, we immediately called Ryan for a "what do we do now" conversation. We have known Ryan personally for some time and were not actively looking to buy at the time, so he quickly got us up to speed on what would be required, how the process would go, and how to set priorities and expectations. He was very helpful in advising how we negotiated select terms of legal documents associated with our HOA and went to bat on terms that were important to us. His ability to build/hold relationships with those on the other side of the table is invaluable. Ryan had previously seen our exact unit at a broker open (before we came across it) and immediately had a view on the pros/cons, its value, and what we should be thinking. Once in contract, he dialed up appropriate contacts for the various unique aspects of our purchase, which included the inspecting agent, an architect/engineer, a lawyer, etc. As crazy as the local market is in SF, the process really couldn't have been easier or gone smoother, which as first-time buyers was a welcomed surprise. We'd highly recommend using Ryan for any real estate transaction and are looking forward to working with him again in the future.

We really couldn't have asked for a better partner in a real estate agent. Our search was off and on and lasted over a year. Ryan was patient with us and very generous with his time and his guidance. Ryan took the time to get to know us as buyers, what we needed, what we liked, and what we didn't so that he could better help us filter opportunities as they came on the market. This helped us to be much more efficient through the process. His training as an architect and experience in previous projects made him a great resource for homes that needed work. Ryan is incredibly analytical and his forecasts on final selling prices were always spot on. Once we found the home we really wanted, Ryan helped us get to a winning bid and develop a plan to make the small updates we wanted to make immediately. Even now, post-close, Ryan is still in touch, checking in to make sure we're happy and answering the little questions we have about being homeowners in San Francisco. We have already referred one friend to Ryan and would recommend him to anyone when they're ready to buy or sell a home in San Francisco.

Ryan and his team are, to put it simply, the best. We bought our first home with Ryan in 2014, the market was already crazy and we had no experience with real estate. Ryan found a listing that we had overlooked in our Redfin, Zillow, Trulia searches, and it ended up being the perfect home for us. His background as an architect is a huge asset, he helped us figure out the right way to reconfigure the space for our needs and get going on a renovation. When we decided to relocate close to our children's new school, Ryan once again exceeded our expectations. We were the first buyers to view the property that became our new house, and he kept us from overbidding, not every agent would do that! Ryan then helped us sell our first home for significantly more than we were expecting. He and his team took care of all of the details for preparing for the sale, we barely had to do anything. And through it, all, Ryan and his team are always exceptionally considerate, responsive, and professional. We trust them absolutely and couldn't be happier with how everything has turned out.

Ryan served as the selling agent for my condo in Mission Dolores, San Francisco. For a number of reasons, it was a complicated sale. Ryan did a great job with marketing and showing. More importantly, he handled some fairly delicate issues related to compliance and legal as a consummate professional (which is why, not surprisingly, he's in the top 1% of brokers in SF). Honestly, if I hadn't had Ryan I am not sure I would have had such a successful sales outcome. He consistently operated under the premise of protecting me financially and legally. He communicated regularly and professionally throughout the process, and I never felt in the dark about what was happening or what the plans were for. On top of that, I found his energy and personality to be exceedingly client-focused and positive. I could not recommend anyone more than Ryan to help you sell your property.

Ryan has now helped us purchase 2 properties and sell 1, all in the San Francisco area. He is an architect-turned Realtor® and is amazing. Our first purchase with him was a multi-family property. He spotted the listing just down the street from the one we had our eyes on and helped us get comfortable with a property with imperfections but a ton of promise, and win in a competitive bidding situation. Our second purchase was a single-family home that's an investment property for us. He got us an amazing price by moving fast when it fell out of contract with other buyers. Finally, he helped us sell a 2 bed and 2 bath condo that had been our first home in the area.
